Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion Elementary School’s Chanukah Carnival was an exciting and joyful experience for students from Pre-1A through seventh grade, transforming the yeshivah into a vibrant hub of laughter, color, and celebration.

Throughout the day, the building buzzed with activity as boys eagerly rotated through a wide variety of carnival booths and hands-on games. Popular attractions included balloon-popping with darts, Nerf gun target shooting, bowling challenges, frisbee games, and interactive stations spread throughout the space. One highlight captured in the photos was the face-painting station, where students proudly showed off festive designs that added to the Chanukah cheer.

Adding a special touch to the celebration, students also took part behind the scenes—most notably at the DJ table—bringing enthusiasm and confidence as music filled the room and kept the energy high. DJ music by Natanel Foozailov helped set the tone, ensuring the carnival remained upbeat and engaging from start to finish.

No carnival would be complete without treats, and students enjoyed cotton candy, popcorn, donuts, and a lively canteen, creating moments of connection as friends sat together, shared snacks, and soaked in the festive atmosphere. Faculty members and rebbeim were seen throughout the event, actively engaging with students and joining in the excitement, reinforcing the warm, family-centered spirit of the school.

All tickets earned during the carnival were collected toward a raffle featuring fantastic prizes, which were drawn the following day—extending the joy and anticipation beyond the event itself. The Chanukah Carnival was a memorable celebration that beautifully captured the ruach, achdut, and simchah that define life at YSZ Elementary School.
