On Sunday evening, December 14, Orot hosted its highly anticipated 5th Annual Chanukah Party at Ohr Natan, welcoming more than 100 women for an evening filled with celebration, inspiration, and community spirit.

The program featured festive Chanukah elements throughout the night, including delicious food, a live DJ, a photobooth, spirited dancing, and meaningful words of Torah. At the center of the evening was Orot’s Got Talent—a fully kosher talent showcase highlighting the remarkable abilities of frum girls and women. From singers and dancers to musicians, each participant brought her unique gifts to the stage, creating an atmosphere of excitement and admiration.

The distinguished panel of judges included Shira Maya, a talented singer and songwriter; Nelli Yakubov, a dancer and nurse and daughter of renowned singer Tamara Katayeva; and Rebbetzin Sari Aminov, who served as a principal for 20 years and is the wife of Rabbi Nerya Aminov. Shira Maya captivated the audience with her beautiful singing, while Nelli Yakubov elevated the evening with a dynamic dance performance. Rebbetzin Aminov delivered an inspiring dvar Torah, emphasizing the lasting importance of mitzvot and maasim tovim.

The competition continued with an impressive range of performances. After thoughtful deliberation by both the judges and the audience, the winners were announced. Third place went to Ester Fattakhov, who earned $50 for an original song she composed about her journey to Judaism, which she performed while accompanying herself on the piano. Dalya Levy secured second place and a $100 prize for her moving rendition of “Mariage D’Amor.” The first-place prize of $300 was awarded to Arianna Priyev, whose powerful and heartfelt singing left a lasting impression on all in attendance.

Orot extends heartfelt thanks to all the participants who bravely took the stage, including Chana Raizel Nightingale, Yona Menucha Lavie, and Sarah Katayev. Their courage and talent were integral to the evening’s success.

The celebration also featured an exciting raffle with a wide array of prizes, including Shabbos makeup by Aneley Cosmetics, a Chanukah-themed candy platter from Candylicious, a decorative frame from EmmAvi Designs, jewelry from Art & Molly, and a beautifully designed Tehillim by Yaeli Vogel. Orot expresses deep appreciation to all sponsors for their generosity and support.

Orot’s 5th Annual Chanukah Party was a resounding success, bringing the community together for an evening that celebrated talent, unity, and joy. Beyond the entertainment, the event provided a meaningful platform for frum girls and women to shine while strengthening bonds and celebrating Jewish heritage. Orot looks forward to continuing this cherished tradition in the years ahead.
