On Tuesday, January 4th, 2018 Mr. Gedalyah Binkiewicz and Mr. Shiu Reichmann hosted a parlor meeting for Yeshiva Kochevi Yisrael Stars of israel Academy. Following a short presentation on the school’s founding and purpose, renowned lecturer and guest speaker Rabbi Paysach Krohn discussed the importance of each and every Jewish child receiving a Yeshiva education. Having visited Stars of Israel and spoken on the school’s behalf previously, Rabbi Krohn encouraged community and financial support for the school, now in it’s 6th year..

Founded by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Schwartzberg, the school’s educational director, the mission of Yeshiva Kochevi Yisrael is to provide a full day, Torah-true Jewish education to middle school aged public school boys with little to no background in Jewish education, using an award winning, technology based approach in both Judaic and secular studies.

Addressing the needs of our neighbors, Kochvei Yisrael Stars of Israel takes 10-13 year old boys who cannot discern an aleph from a beis, and after spending three years in the yeshiva, they emerge fully prepared for yeshiva high school. Unfortunately, for many families, the decision between public school and yeshiva becomes primarily a financial one. To make the  yeshiva option affordable, Stars of Israel tuition is 60% below the going rate, and many require scholarships beyond that. This hatzalas nefashos of saving and mainstreaming public school children can only be sustained with the generous support of the community.

Your support will help continue our important mission.
