Ganeinu Academy Celebrates Nearly Completed 28,000-Square-Foot Expansion At Inspiring VIP Evening

This past Thursday evening, May 7, the future of Jewish education in Queens came alive in unforgettable fashion.

Nearly 200 supporters gathered inside the almost-completed 28,000-square-foot expansion of Ganeinu Academy for an extraordinary VIP evening celebrating a dream rapidly becoming reality. Though still an active construction site, the building was transformed into a breathtaking five-star event space filled with elegance, energy, and inspiration.

Guests entered through a stunning cocktail reception featuring upscale cuisine, a full bar, and an atmosphere buzzing with excitement. As attendees explored the new state-of-the-art facility, they witnessed firsthand the incredible progress of a project that will soon serve more than 250 Nursery through Eighth Grade students in a world-class educational environment.

The new campus will include spacious classrooms filled with natural light, a full-size gymnasium, cafeteria, library, art studio, maker space, and additional support spaces designed to inspire creativity, growth, and excellence for generations to come.

The evening’s guest of honor was Mr. Lev Leviev, President of the World Bukharian Jewish Congress, visionary founder of Ganeinu Academy, and the driving force behind countless educational initiatives throughout Queens and around the world. His inspiring words reminded attendees that great institutions begin with bold dreams — and with communities willing to believe in them.

The program also featured moving remarks from Rabbi Shmuel Kogan, director of Ganeinu Academy, along with inspiring videos and a beautiful rendition of “A Million Dreams” performed by one of the students, leaving many in the audience deeply emotional.

Guests repeatedly described the evening as electric, uplifting, and unforgettable.

“Wow, I had no idea the community was this incredible. Seeing everyone come together for such an important cause is truly inspiring,” shared one attendee.

Others were amazed by the transformation itself, comparing the unfinished building-turned-luxury venue to an elite event hall. Yet beyond the elegance and sophistication, what resonated most was the feeling that something historic was taking shape before their eyes.

As the evening concluded, one message was clear: what once began as a vision is now opening its doors to reality, with the new Ganeinu Academy campus expected to welcome students this coming September.
