On Motza'ei Shabbat, January 4, Kollel Zichron Moshe v’Leah, a vibrant community kollel based at the Od Yosef Chai Shul on Main Street and a flagship initiative of the Chazaq Organization, hosted an elegant and uplifting melaveh malkah at Congregation Beth El Hall, on Union Turnpike in Jamaica Estates. The event brought together members of the community for an evening filled with inspiration, camaraderie, and joy.

Under the guidance of Rabbi Michoel Mansour, Kollel Zichron Moshe v’Leah has become a cornerstone of Torah learning and spiritual growth. The kollel is composed of exceptional avreichim, who travel daily from Brooklyn, bringing their deep Torah knowledge and dedication to the community. Known for their approachable personalities, the Avreichim foster an environment of personalized learning through one-on-one chavrusas and daily shiurim, empowering individuals to grow in their Torah study.

The melaveh malkah served as a unifying experience for kollel members, including both the avreichim and baalei batim, as they celebrated their shared commitment to Torah and spiritual development.

The event featured uplifting music, delectable food, and inspiring speeches. A memorable moment came when the kollel presented Mr. Moshe Sdayeb, the founder of Kollel Zichron Moshe v’Leah, with a stunning silver mezuzah as a heartfelt gesture for his new home. This was followed by the announcement of another milestone: the commencement of a new sefer Torah, dedicated to Mr. Gavriel Dekhanov, a beloved and generous supporter of the kollel.

A highlight of the evening was an address by R' Yoselle Tabak, a renowned philanthropist and advocate for Torah learning. His powerful words of chizuk encouraged attendees to prioritize Torah study, even amidst busy schedules, leaving the crowd inspired and motivated.

The event was a resounding success, leaving participants eager for future gatherings that will continue to strengthen the bonds of this close-knit community.
