At the best of Rabbi Shmuel Kagan, founder of Ganeinu Academy, Queens Shmira led a wonderful bike-a-thon around the Fresh Meadows streets that surround the yeshivah's campus at the former Utopia Jewish Center on Utopia Parkway just off of 64th Avenue. The children proudly hopped on their bikes and scooters as parents and family members joined for a spectacular march of Jewish unity and pride this past Sunday morning, June 16. Following the slow march a fantastic barbeque was prepared. Carnival games, bounce house activities, paintball, face painting, and of course cotton candy was on hand to keep the afternoon excitement. A special thanks to Dep. Chief Richie Tayloe, Commanding Officer of NYPD's Community Affairs Bureau Outreach Division for sending over wonderful officers to man the department's very own rock climbing wall that was lots of fun for all!
