CHAZAQ helped breathe fresh life into the Forest Park Jewish Center this past Sunday morning, June 17th 2018, when hundreds gathered to enjoy a wonderful spectacular starring the Twins from France in a truly remarkable performance. The children present were amazed at the brilliant array of tricks and juggling acts the twins executed. Most notable was the fire show specially saved for the finale.
CHAZAQ extends a special note of appreciation to former Councilwoman Liz Crowley for providing the necessary funding for this communal event in Glendale.
Launched in 1953, the Forest Park Jewish Center was once a beckon of Torah, boasting over 300 members showcasing programs for both youth and later seniors. Today, under the leadership of Rabbi Meir Glazer and with the assistance of the Rabbinical Seminary of America, the synagogue maintains a minyan every Shabbos morning.
Longtime member Allen Wolf was absolutely astonished at the overflow crowd saying “the building has not housed this many people in years” and remains hopeful for the future.
