One of the highlights for CHAZAQ’s students who join their Jwave teens division, are Shabbatons in neighboring cities. For many of CHAZAQ’s students who are not exposed to the beauty of Shabbat, their first real Shabbat experience lasts a life time.  Last Shabbat, Rabbi Yaakov Rachimi, a former student in Lakewood and current Chazaq mentor, took ten of his students to an inspiring Shabbaton in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Shabbat was full of ruchniyus (spirituality) with a lot of gashmiyus as well, with delicious catered meals. Amongst the highlights was a tour of BMG (Renowned for having thousands of Yeshiva students), as well as a private meetings on Motzai Shabbat with the Rosh HaYeshiva Rav Yeruchim Olshin shlita and Rav Yitzchok Sorotzkin shlita, Rosh Yeshivas Mesivta of Lakewood.

The boys were very excited about the experience in Lakewood and

utilized the time to focus on their learning and davening. Rabbi Rahimi relates, “When I suggested to some of the boys that they take a break, they responded, ‘We came here to learn and grow in Torah, not to take
it easy!’”
