They say that if a person has too much free time......then trouble is right around the corner.

This statement is especially true when it comes to teenagers.

In today’s age of technology that brings the world to ones finger tips, so many boys and girls are unfortunately getting addicted to things that can only be harmful to their education and overall future growth. This is even of greater risk to public school students who have dismissal as early as 1 pm in high schools (in comparison to yeshivas who are out in the evenings) and are therefore adept to getting into even more problems than others.

As such, for the past decade, CHAZAQ has stood at the helm of providing fun filled and educational after school programs for Jewish public school students of all ages touching the lives of thousands  during this time.

“If it wasn’t for Jwave (chazaq’s teens division) I don’t know where I would be today” says Rivka, who has been part of chazaq’s teens programs throughout her high school years. “My parents never considered giving me or my siblings a Yeshiva education and I truly knew nothing about Judaism before I met Ester Zino (Shamayev) of CHAZAQ. Today I am pursuing my college degree as a proud and fully observant Jew”.

Ben Roberts, Chazaq’s popular recruiter for the boys division speaks about the challenges teenage boys are facing in the streets. “Gang fights, drugs and crime are unfortunately very common amongst our Bukharian youth” he says sadly. “For me, Chazaq’s Jwave program is not just a program for teens, it’s more like a brotherhood and an establishment in the community that takes teens off the streets into a safe and friendly environment”.

With numerous programs on a daily  basis for local youth, CHAZAQ’s programs offer delicious meals, riveting Torah classes, exciting trips and inspirational shabbatons.
