The incredible 17th Likrat Kallah annual dinner on March 6 was held at the lovely Great Neck Synagogue. The Queens-based Likrat Kallah organization has, for two decades, provided assistance in all the spiritual, emotional, and material aspects of bridal needs. Likrat Kallah is recognized by chief community rabbis as a top chesed organization.

Every year, the Likrat Kallah committee selects four ladies who volunteer and exceptionally contribute to the community in many ways. This year, the four honorees were very special ladies: Mrs. Sherry Fishman (Guest of Honor), Mrs. Nora Abraham (Eshet Chayil), Mrs. Dana Cohen (Chesed Award), and Mrs. Emma Rafailov (Community Award). These four ladies are outstanding role models, showing remarkable generosity and charity in their work with Likrat Kallah and in their willingness to serve the needs of the community.

The gorgeous, elegant event was attended by 400 women. The guests enjoyed a lavish, gourmet dinner provided by Lederman Catering and the hall was beautifully decorated by Royal Events. The stunning fashion show by Lim’ore was a highlight of the evening and was followed by a fun dance party, thanks to the talents of DJ Dice.

There was a first-rate Chinese auction with prizes, including a round-trip to Israel, diamond jewelry, high-end home goods, wigs, gift certificates, electronics, and much more. The proceeds were donated entirely to Likrat Kallah.

The founders would like to extend special thanks to all those who sponsored the event and donated their time and services, making the event such a fabulous, memorable occasion. This generous support allows Likrat Kallah to continue their invaluable work for brides in need.
