Margaret Tietz Center was proud to support community Purim parties. 250 Mishloach Manot bags were created at Margaret Tietz for seniors throughout the community. We were glad to be part of the celebrations at the Young Israel Forest Hills Senior Center, Young Israel Queens Valley Senior League, and Ohr Natan. We had a wonderful celebration here at Margaret Tietz for our residents here at Margaret Tietz which started with a dance group under the direction of Atara Serle from the Yeshiva Bnos Malka. A group of beautiful fifth grade girls came to dance, brought their smiles, and enthusiasm to our grateful residents. Lander College Students came by in full costumes, with musical instruments, and singing which brought the Purim Celebration at Margaret Tietz to new heights! Two additional groups of teenage girls from Kew Gardens Hills, in fantastic costumes took it upon themselves to join the festivities and bring Mishloach Manot bags for our residents. Another group of boys came from Woodmere with Mishaloach Manot bags donated from Gourmet Glatt and a mom from the community with two of her children, one on a unicycle definitely brought a new twist to Purim. We are so grateful to the outpouring of the community for the residents of Margaret Tietz. Margaret Tietz was definitely a destination for Purim this year.
