Warmth and love was felt by all present in the UPK classrooms of Yeshiva Shaarei Zion . The first premier Mommy and Me purim event was Baruch HaShem a smashing success!
Mothers were greeted with beautiful purim songs, sung by the eager children. Our famed music teacher, Morah Shifra, then played “Ima Yekara” while each child sang to his/ her mother on her lap, embraced by mommy. The enthusiasm was felt by all as dancing and music filled the air.
Each child then took mommy by the hand to the activity of their choice. Mommy and child bonded while making hamentashen and decorating beautiful picture frames. The mothers went home with the beautiful misloach manot the children decorated for each other. It was uplifting to see mothers spending one -on-one quality time with their child. Thank you mommy’s for taking time out of your busy day to make this happen. This will definitely be an everlasting memory in the children’s mind.
Yeshiva Shaarei Zion looks forward to many more Mommy and Me events in the future. May we all continue seeing much nachat from our delicious children!
