The week before Pesach was very eventful for Yeshiva Primary. With so many Pesach activities and preparation occurring within our classrooms, it is safe to say the Pesach spirit has been widespread throughout our school!
On Tuesday, the entire school gathered together in the lunchroom for a Model Seder event! Our classes performed all the parts of the Haggadah that they will say on their seders with their families! There was music, singing, and a remarkable Pesach spirit in the air!
On Wednesday, the school gathered for the “biur chametz” (“burning of the chametz”). Rabbi Deutscher explained to the students why we burn the chametz – and it culminated with students burning their class’ chametz in our bonfire!
Finally, the students received matzah distributed by Rabbi Deutscher, and enjoyed it on the first night of Pesach!
