Yeshiva Tiferet Tzion is a mainstream yeshiva high school for boys located in Forest Hills. The yeshiva is fully registered and recognized by the New York State Education Department and administers Regents exams, PSAT exams, and AP exams as well. YTT’s student body consists mainly of bochurim of Sefardic heritage from Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, and beyond.

The Limudei Kodesh department has a strong emphasis on Gemara learning as well as Halachah, Chumash and Musar. Students are tested weekly on the material learned in each subject and also have night seder twice a week. The Rebbeim are masters of their field and provide the bochurim with a tremendous amount of unconditional care, concern, guidance, and education.

The Secular Department has a professional and dedicated staff of certified and experienced teachers. Electives and AP courses are offered in addition to the core curriculum. Students are geared towards graduation with an Advanced Regents Diploma.

Parental involvement is of utmost importance. To this end, the yeshiva hosts two “Father & Son Lunch and Learn” programs throughout the school year, in addition to parent orientation, PTA conferences, and family meetings.

As part of physical education and health, bochurim play basketball and go swimming at the local Y across the street from the yeshiva and also receive certification in CPR and AED.

Bochurim are treated to multiple outings over the course of the school year including an amazing overnight as well as trips of physical nature such as hikes, gymnastics, sports, ice-skating, racing, and swimming. There are also educational trips, such as STEM Education field trips at IFly indoor skydiving and more.

Seniors are treated to a 10-day, all-inclusive trip to Eretz Yisrael, where they visit gedolim and holy sites, tour the land and Yeshivot, and have an action-packed, memorable trip of a lifetime as they head into their years of continued learning.
