Last Thursday evening, the community gathered at Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills for an inspiring challah bake hosted by Chazaq in solidarity with Israel. The event created an atmosphere of unity, spirituality, and tradition.
The evening's keynote speaker, Dalia Cohen, delivered a heartfelt address on the significance of making challah and the powerful segulot (spiritual remedies) associated. Her words resonated deeply with attendees, highlighting the spiritual act of baking challah as a means to elevate one’s soul and bring blessings into their lives.
The ambiance was thoughtfully crafted with burning candles and low lighting, setting a serene and contemplative mood. This setting symbolized the lighting of our neshamah (soul) amidst the darkness, creating a profound sense of connection and introspection among all who were present.
