On Sunday, December 10th, Orot hosted its highly anticipated third annual Chanukah event at Ohr Natan. The evening was filled with joyous festivities, including delicious food, a live deejay, photobooth, dvar Torah, and a ton of dancing! The theme of the night, blue and white, paid homage to Israel, adding an extra layer of significance to the celebration. The highlight of the event was Orot's Got Talent, a kosher talent show that showcased the remarkable abilities of frum girls and women. From singers to dancers, comedians to musicians, each participant brought their unique talents to the stage.

The evening's panel of judges consisted of respectable individuals from the community: Shaindel Antelis, a talented singer and songwriter; Nelli Yakubov, a nurse and daughter of community activist and singer Tamara Katayeva; and Mrs. Leah Siyonov, owner of Glamour Gowns, a tzniut gown rental service that caters to the community's needs. The talent  was truly exceptional during the show. Antelis mesmerized the audience with her soulful singing, while Yakubov delivered a captivating dance performance that ignited the spirit of celebration. The event also featured a raffle, offering baskets filled with incredible prizes worth over a hundred dollars. After careful deliberation, both the judges and the audience cast their votes for their favorite acts. In third place, Lilly Licht won fifty dollars for her enchanting trumpet peice of Hatikvah. Viola Haimov secured second place, earning one hundred dollars for her beautiful solo dance performance. The first-place prize of three hundred dollars went to the Dancing Trio, three talented sisters Miriam, Avivit, and Natalie Izrailov who presented a free mashup of dances with fun and laughter.

Orot thanks all the participants for taking the courage and effort to perform in front of the 100 people present at the party: The Divine Dancers, featuring Elizabeth Aminzade, Frida Lakhchakova, and Natalie Bangiyev; Rivka Filyurina; Avital Akilov; and Tehilla Chamoulian. Thank you for contributing to the evening's success with your incredible performances! The Chanukah party organized by Orot was an amazing success, bringing together the community for an evening filled with talent, unity, and joy. The event not only provided a platform for frum girls and women to display their abilities but also fostered a sense of togetherness and celebration of Jewish heritage. Orot looks forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come, creating more memorable moments and opportunities for the community to come together.
