Yeshiva Sha'arei Zion has launched Parnes Hayom for the 2023/5783 school year! The yeshiva kickstarted the initiative with a beautiful yahrzeit breakfast sponsored by the Samekhov and Borochov households. Family members joined the sixth through eighth grade boys in a delightful breakfast that included divrei Torah from Rabbi Ben Mordechai, menahel, and Yaakov Tzion Rubinov, a YSZ eighth grade talmid. It was a true kiddush Hashem and an inspiration for the boys and guests.

The Parnes Hayom project allows the parent body and community friends of the yeshivah to bring meaning to milestone occasions while ensuring the continuation of Torah learning for the next generation. A day of Torah study and t’filah at the yeshivah can be dedicated in celebration of lifecycle events like a birthday, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, anniversary, or wedding bestowing upon your family the unique merit of enabling the formative minds of our community’s boys and girls to engage in limud Torah. Similarly, a parnes hayom gift can be made in the merit of a refuah shleimah, or leilui nishmat a loved one. Dedications are displayed publicly at the yeshivah.
