In the hours leading up to Yom Kippur, members of the Orthodox Queens Jewish community descended on Mount Carmel Cemetery in Glendale for a meis mitzvah levayah. The community members, largely members from some of our chesed organizations (Chaverim, Hatzolah, Misaskim, and others) did not know the deceased, but ensured that a proper k'vurah was conducted. What a special way to enter into this auspicious day. Mi K'amcha Yisrael!
