When you happen to find yourself among people involved in the processes of modern civil construction, you begin to understand how laborious this business is, what titanic organizational, nervous efforts, not to mention financial ones, it requires. In the first approximation, there is a feeling to quickly put an end to it, complete it, commission the project, go through the obstacles quickly and free yourself from such a long and back-breaking task.

Nevertheless, the management of the Center came to the conclusion that, taking into account the importance of construction of the new building for our synagogue designed to serve more than one generation of its congregants—especially in a situation where responsibility for the spiritual level, of the youth, in particular, is more relevant than ever—a worthy completion of this project is a matter of honor for the entire community.

We remember very well how many obstacles of the most diverse nature had to be overcome during this long-term marathon. Despite this, the management of the Center is determined not to rush things down the final straight, not to speed up things at the expense of quality and the use of cheaper materials and components.

Active preparations are underway now for the outer lining and finishing of the building. At the same time, one should remember that the principle “first impressions are most lasting” has not lost its meaning to this day, and the degree of rational presentation of the visual external contours of the synagogue will largely impact the feelings of each person who sets foot in.

The rear of the building will be covered with stucco for cost reasons, which is quite rational. As for its three frontal sides, they will be “dressed” in stone, which again is quite reasonable and justified, despite the high costs.

Currently, preparatory water protection works are underway in order to protect the building from water penetration from the outside. Simultaneously, electricians, setup people and elevator operators work inside the premises, fire extinguishers are installed to prevent unforeseen circumstances.

Each new day more insistently and more confidently brings us closer to the long-awaited day when the majestic building of the new synagogue will receive the congregants, who are looking forward to this happy moment with impatience and hope.
