On Sunday, March 13, Mr. and Mrs. Yuri Rubinov and their extended family held a hachnasat sefer Torah celebration. Proceeds of the event were donated to Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion’s Girl’s High School to help continue their educational work. The writing of the letters was conducted at their 65th Road residence in Forest Hills and proceeded to the Torah’s new home at Beth Gavriel Community Center. A lavish meal was served.
Much appreciation is owed to the 112th police precinct for their safety precautions. Special acknowledgement is given to Commanding Officer, Deputy Inspector Joseph E. Cappelmann for personally attending the procession. Queens Borough Safety Patrol – Shmira was also heavily involved in crowd safety.
