CHAZAQ’s life changing work is known throughout the Jewish community. Since their inception in 2006, tens of thousands of people from all backgrounds are inspired by their events and lectures each year. In fact, in the last 12 months alone, Chazaq organized over 546 lectures on a wide variety of topics from relationships to raising children, to anger management and overcoming addictions, and everything in between.

Though as we all know, CHAZAQ’s main goal and mission is to touch the lives of thousands of Jewish public school students in the New York area and beyond. “There are so many Jewish public-school students in our backyards here in the Queens/Brooklyn area” says Yaniv Meirov, CEO of Chazaq. “Many come from good families with a respect for the Torah but they simply don’t realize the great spiritual damage today’s public school system can have on their children”.

Indeed, in the last 12 months, CHAZAQ’s public school divisions touched the lives of 1,034 public school students and Baruch HaShem 198 of them were transferred to Yeshivas. Since starting the Chazaq “No child left behind” initiative prior to the 2017 school year, Chazaq has registered 1,115 students to Yeshiva. All truly remarkable accomplishments.

“Lives are being changed,” says Meirov. “And people need to realize that these are not merely numbers we create and post on fliers. Every student we deal with is documented with great details as we have a very dedicated team of men and women with a professional tracking system that allows to follow up and accomplish what we Baruch hashem have till now”.

In early November, CHAZAQ held a Charidy Campaign, which was a 36 hour worldwide campaign to get the community at large to assist in their life changing mission. “Our goal is to strengthen our Shaping Lives programs for children and Jwave Division for teens and expand to more and more communities”, said Meirov.

“Indeed, after a lot of work, over 2,630 people from around the globe got together in supporting Chazaq’s Charidy campaign and people that didn’t have a chance to give are still donating as we speak” says Meirov. “Our board of directors and scores of volunteers from various shuls and Yeshivas along with students from our programs worked tirelessly to make this a success. They were all in the basement of congregation Od Yosef Chai, and they worked hard because they want us to reach even greater heights.”

“Bezrat HaShem we will keep going strong. We will not stop till we turn every stone to assure we touch the lives of as many people as possible”.
