On Thursday, July 2nd, The Alliance of Bukharian Americans Health Committee organized a Zoom seminar, targeted at college students, to explain how they could help their community recover from the coronavirus. With the joint efforts of EMET Outreach, Queens College Bukharian Culture Club, and St. John’s University Jewish Student Association,  the committee reached out to the volunteers needed for community initiatives such as Rabbi Nisanov's Food Drive and how to obtain free personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers. To obtain the free PPE, a healthcare worker would have to email This email address is being protected from spambots. The first 50 people who attended the event received a free customized hand sanitizer bottle, courtesy of the Alliance of Bukharian Americans. Lastly, thank you to all of our volunteers!
