The ratings for the livestream of Halftime for Torah are in and they are a true kiddush hashem! Over 3000 devices tuned in and more than 300 callers accessed the CHAZAQ Organization sponsored program featuring the oration talents of Rabbi Yoel Gold, Charlie Harary, Rabbi YY Jacobson and HaRav Eytan Feiner. There is no way to discern how many individuals were glued to each electronic contraption but suffice it to say families watched from one central location.

Rabbi Feiner of The White Shul put it best, “The lesson of the Super Bowl is if we want to win in life, we must have the biggest drive to want to succeed.”

“Chazaq is proud to livestream various programs throughout the year especially legal holidays and various fast days. This has been our biggest halftime project to date with the collaboration of more dedicated organizations and impactful media platforms throughout the nation than ever before. We are grateful for everyone’s devotion to the cause and realization that the integrity of Torah trumps all,” announced Robbie Aboff, Chazaq’s Events Coordinator.

An initiative like Halftime for Torah takes weeks of tireless efforts by the all those involved. Eran Jacobs of BSD Productions is credited with the video arrangement and part of the recording for the program.

Rabbi Yoel Gold from Hashkifa gave us hope, “We must see the light within ourselves and have the confidence to face our “bears” – the things which are holding us back from becoming great and overcoming our struggles.

TorahAnytime is the powerful force behind a significant amount of the Torah available via the phone and online. Its team often works together with Chazaq to spread Torah in the most elegant fashion. Halftime for Torah was streamed via their infrastructure and is still available for viewing on their website. A note of appreciation is extended to cofounder Shimon Kol Yakov for his personal involvement.

To explain the gravity of the project and its far reach one needs look no farther than the words of Rabbi Jacobson from Yeshiva.net, “We sometimes imitate ourselves and get stuck into our habits. The purpose of life according to the Jewish perspective is to shock ourselves and become the people that we never imagined we could become.”

Rabbi Moshe Fingerer of the Brooklyn Jewish Xperience expressed a common sentiment echoed by other collaborators, “We were honored to partner with Chazaq to provide BJX members and students throughout the world a meaningful and inspirational alternative to the halftime show aired at the game.”

This exhaustive list is demonstrated most eloquently with the powerful words of Charlie Harary who explained that “life is a game of one play battles where we must be focused on what is in front of us.”
