On August 10tz and 11th, CHAZAQ held a Tisha B'av Torah marathon with the Beth Gavriel Center featuring riveting lectures from 20 Rabbis and speakers.
Hundreds of people attended the event throughout the solemn day with thousands more viewing live on Torahanytime.com, and were inspired to make the necessary changes to bring about the Ge'ulah.
The event was dedicated in loving memory of Esther bat Sara, Aaron ben Esther and Daniel ben Miriam.
In addition to that, CHAZAQ’s J-wave Teens division held a special teens program for local public school students during the afternoon hours of Tisha B’av.
Over 50 students attended the event and heard words of inspiration from CHAZAQ mentors including Rabbi Moshe Matizadeh, Rabbi David Kulmus, Rabbi Yaakov Rachimi and Rabbi Ilan Meirov. Many were able to fast from beginning to end for the first time in their lives.
CHAZAQ also arranged free Shatnez checking on the second floor of the Beth Gavriel Center along with a booth by TAG offering filters for one’s technological devices. In addition, the Kaliver Rav came for several hours offering his sagely advice and blessings to scores of men and women.
