NYPD: Man Breaks Into Rego Park Apartment, Steals Personal Files

Police are searching for a man who allegedly broke into a Rego Park apartment and stole personal papers while the victim was not home.

The victim, a 69-year-old man, came home to find boxes of his personal paperwork missing on April 2 around 2 p.m. when he called the police.

Police discovered that the suspect entered the apartment, located in the vicinity of Saunders Street, through a window with an air conditioner unit in it. The police did not provide a specific address.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The individual wanted for this crime is described by police as Hispanic, and between 20 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded shirt, multi-colored jacket and black pants.
