The last night of Chanukah is known for its special "spiritual powers" and this year CHAZAQ's Teens division tapped into it with a special Mother-daughter event for Jewish public teens.
"Baruch Hashem hundreds of Jewish public school students of all ages attend various life-changing programs that CHAZAQ offers and our dedicated staff decided to invite the mothers of the teens to see firsthand why their daughters are so attached to our programs", says CHAZAQ operations manager Yaniv Meirov.
Rebetzin Esther Zino, director of CHAZAQ's Jwave Teens division for girls, delivered opening remarks to the nearly one hundred guests and praised the teenage girls that decide to come and learn several times a week after school as opposed to hanging out and wasting time on the streets.
Her husband, Rabbi Tomer Zino, a Rebbe at CHAZAQ's Teens division for boys was asked to light the menorah and then shared a powerful dvar Torah.
Aside for amazing raffle prizes the mothers and daughters enjoyed dancing together to upbeat music. CHAZAQ's professional art teacher, Jenny Dan, put together a fun and interactive mother daughter game and afterwards they were given a candy jar to decorate.
After all was said and done, the mothers and daughters had a truly memorable evening together. Many mothers expressed their deepest appreciation to the CHAZAQ staff for caring about their daughters as if they were one of their own.
