Rabbi Shafier joined over 30 married couples in Kehilat Avodat Hashem in Hillcrest for an interactive lecture on Marriage and Sholom Bayis based on his popular “Marriage Seminar”.

“Our Kehilla is coming about 10 years in Hillcrest” says Tova Babekov, member of the shul’s Sisterhood, “we wanted to put together a lecture that would cater to the needs of the couples in our shul in an intimate and effective way.  When the opportunity to have Rabbi Shafier of the Shmuz  came up we knew we had to jump on it! He was the perfect candidate to address our Kehilla on the topic of Shalom Bayis with his wit and direct, yet fair approach.”

“The lecture was animated, powerful, and had an extremely practical message.  It really brought the lessons home. Every angle was addressed from both sides of the relationship. With his real life examples, he made us laugh and better understand how to relate to our spouses. We all felt like Rabbi Shafier really gets it!”

Each couple walked away with Rabbi Shafier’s newest book “Two Worlds One Chance” which will be hitting the book stores after Chanukah.  “The Marriage Seminar Live” MP3 was also given out as an effective way to review the concepts and lessons spoken about.

“It really was  a hit! All the feedback we have been getting has just been so positive. The night was definitely a success, you could feel it in the room,” concludes Tova.
