One of the many special events that take place at YTT is the annual Rebbe Shabbaton.

Each class is treated to a special Shabbos hosted by their Rebbeim and families.

9th & 10th grade to Monsey, 11th grade–Lakewood and 12th Grade – Flatbush.

Friday morning after breakfast, the bochurim learn beChavrusa for 45 minutes and then leave to an Erev Shabbos Activity such as Archery, Escape Rooms, Dave & Busters, Go Karting, etc.

They arrive at their Rebbe’s home shortly before Shabbos to some waiting refreshments and immediately start preparations for Shabbos.

They eat the meals with their Rebbeim and their families and really get to forge a special connection outside of the yeshiva walls. After the Shabbos night Seuda, a special Oneg Shabbos takes place filled with delicacies, Divrei Torah and spirited singing.

On Motzei Shabbos, the bochurim are treated to a physical activity including Bounce, basketball, soccer, ice skating, gymnastics and more followed by a Melava Malka.

Over the years, we have heard some bochurim label this Shabbos as “the best Shabbos of my life”. To that we say, “perhaps, but the best one will be when you are hosting your talmidim for Shabbos soon!”

YTT is a Mesivta H.S. for grades 9 – 12 located in Forest Hills, Queens.
