In the beginning of the spring, CHAZAQ’s staff were put to a difficult challenge. “We were told that the lectures CHAZAQ organize inspire thousands throughout the year” says Chazaq’s operations manager Yaniv Meirov. “And the Afterschool programs for public school students are truly impacting hundreds of lives.... BUT can you start a campaign to put 200 Jewish public school students in Yeshiva before the 2018 year ends?”

“When you challenge Rabbi Efraim and CHAZAQ’s PSTY (Public School to Yeshiva) division, they take the challenge very seriously” said Yaniv.

Indeed, this past Friday (December 1st) project 200 (as CHAZAQ’s staff called it) came to a miraculous conclusion.  “Two hundred new Jewish students have been transferred to Yeshiva in about 7 or 8 months. This is truly remarkable” said Yaniv. “We are Baruch Hashem well over 500 in just over two years!!!”

This past Sunday, the CHAZAQ board of directors got together to celebrate this milestone and to discuss what more can be done to assure CHAZAQ’s dedicated team can take things to even greater heights and inspire the community in more ways.

“The beauty of CHAZAQ is that we have Rabbis and community leaders that work hand in hand to make sure everything is done professionally and to maximize our potential. And of course, without the trust and support of the community at large we wouldn’t be where we are today” said Yaniv. “Keep your eyes opened. Bezrat Hashem we are looking forward to announcing some new great initiatives in the near future”.
