Chief Rabbi Harav Yisraeli Tours The Margaret Tietz Rehab Facilities Together With Community Leaders and Rabbis

A special meeting for the Sephardi/Bukharian Rabbis and Community Leaders was held at the Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday May 30, 2018.  Chief Rabbi Harav Yitzchak Yisraeli was among the honored guests along with Rabbi Shlomo Nissanov, Rabbi Refael Ribacoff, Rabbi Nerya Aminov, Rabbi Avishai Meir, Mr. Yaniv Meirov, Mr. Abraham Yakubov, Mr. Yakov Serle, Mr. Danny Gadaev, and Mr. Adam Suionov.

Margaret Tietz has a long history in the Jewish community having been established for the care of Holocaust Survivors in 1971.  As the premiere Kosher Short term Rehabilitation Center in Queens they have all the amenities in place for the observant community including: Daily minyamin, Shabbos minyamin, Shabbos Seudah, Shabbos entry doors, Shabbos elevator, eruv connecting the facility to the surrounding neighborhoods, a beautifully furnished modern Shabbos Apartment one block away and free of charge for visiting family members, as well as Full Services and Festive Holiday meals for all the Yom Tovin. The facility boasts mostly private patient rooms. 

Chief Rabbi Yisraeli took pleasure in attending the meeting and touring the facility.  The Tietz Center was very appreciative of the time spent meeting with key personnel and looking to the facility as a new resource for the Sephardi community.  The facility’s leadership shared with the Rabbis their commitment to reaching out to the Sephardi community and meeting their needs.  For more information about the Tietz Center or to set -up a tour please contact Linda Spiegel, Director of Public Affairs at (718) 298-7838.
