Bnos Malka Academy Math Tournament

Bnos Malka hosted the first annual Michael & Irina Math Tournament for 7^th and 8^th grade students. This year, there were math teams from Shulamith, HALB, and Bnos Malka. There were both individual and team components to the competition. Congratulations to all of the schools on their hard work and efforts.

Mrs. Shuly Zuckerman, middle school assistant principal at Bnos Malka, remarked, “We are very excited about this competition. We are certain that it will be expanded next year to include more schools. The level of math is very impressive and all the girls who competed deserve credit.” The event was also attended by Mrs. Yaffa Lamm from CIJE (the Center for Initiative in Jewish Education), who was very impressed with the work of the girls.

Congratulations to the 7^th grade First Place winners: Aliza Zilberberg (Shulamith) and Emily Babaev, Michal Shlomo, and Hodaya Zerbib (all three from Bnos Malka). The 8^th grade first place winners were Leah Chaya Gluck (BMA) and Atara Sicklick (HALB). The teams from Shulamith and BMA tied for the 7^th grade team competition, while BMA’s 8^th grade team placed first.
