Known at the New York State “Not On Our Dime” act, the DSA has now expanded the bill definition to include the current war Israel is fighting against Hamas terrorists. Introduced last year in the State Legislature, the bill seeks to make it illegal for state-registered charities to fund what they label violations of international law in Israel, specifically those in the Yehuda and Shomron regions. Upwards of $60 million in tax-deductible funds flow from NY registered organizations into Eretz Yisrael settlements and more recently directly to IDF soldiers hard at work defending our Holy Land. The signatories remained defiant in support of the revisions, regardless of the radical change from state and federal law.
“As dozens of innocent Israeli citizens and children approach their 175th day in Hamas captivity, so called ‘leaders’ are again pushing A6943 the “Not on Our Dime!: Ending New York Funding of Israeli Settler Violence Act,’” explained Assemblymember Sam Berger referencing a real DSA and socialist-adjacent show of force held early this week for the antisemitic legislation. As we all are keenly aware, these organizations under assist victims and families of Hamas’ atrocities giving a lifeline to orphaned children and widowed spouses. “Despite hundreds of helpless men, women, and children being heinously murdered, beheaded, abused, or ripped from their homes for simply being Jewish, state elected officials with no purview in foreign policy continue to champion blatantly antisemitic legislation.”
As a prodigy of Kew Gardens Hills, Berger is keenly aware of the importance these targeted groups play in the effort in Israel. “The bill aims to target Jewish organizations that serve diverse missions, including feeding the poor, providing emergency medical care for terrorism victims, and clothing orphans. This legislation affects them all, and we again firmly respond with, ‘Not on our watch.’”
AOC and her possie that includes Region 9A of the United Auto Workers have targeted the Long-Island-based One Israel Fund for a drone purchased to defend Eretz Yisrael. The group raised over $2 million in the last few months of 2023, for thermal drones and surveillance cameras for the defense operations. Also called out was Israel Gives and JGives crowdfunding efforts on behalf of the IDF, including a widely publicized fundraiser for the Yahalom unit. Bill sponsors State Senator Jabari Brisport and Assembly Member Zohran K. Mamdani have led the expansion of terms, State Senator Julia Salazar and Assembly Member Emily Gallagher have since signed on conspicuously waiting a year to join their fellow elected socialists. Assembly Members Phara Souffrant Forrest, and Marcela Mitaynes, and NYC Council Member Shahana Hanif have also given outspoken support alongside another hater, Alicia Singham Goodwin, Political Director of Jews For Racial & Economic Justice (JFREJ). Candidates for office Claire Valdez and Eon Huntley also joined. In a vile remark Council Member Tiffany Cabán stated, “The city owes so much to its proud legacy of Jewish charities. So, some charities hijacking this inspiring legacy to intensify far right-wing settler violence is a bitter insult. Support Jewish charities, not settler violence.
New York would become the sole state effectively sanctioning support of the IDF should the law pass. It is a perfect example of how antisemitism has absurdly invaded Western society.
