The Bukharian Community has developed strong roots in America due to the efforts of many invaluable people. Amongst the top of that list is someone who continues to take a personal interest and stake in all things community. We are therefore very proud to celebrate Mr. Simcha Elishaev’s 51st Birthday, which is on Simchat Torah. How appropriate, then, that Simcha is recognized as not only championing the cultural significance of the Bukharian community, but also the Torah which is the beating heart of every Jew.
The Bukharian Jewish Link was created with unity in mind, and its mission has always been to serve as a voice of truth and a platform for the community to stand upon. None of this would have been possible without the direction, support and blessings from Mr. Simcha Elishaev, who has expressed great interest in the BJL’s goals.
We therefore thank Mr. Simcha Elishaev for his bold vision and bright hopes. It takes much experience and wisdom to help guide one’s community by aiming for the brightest future and yet always looking proudly at the past. We also take this opportunity to congratulate Ms. Diana Elishaev, since behind every great man is a great woman, and we thank you for all the work that surely takes place behind the scenes. As our Rabbis teach us, the Beauty of a Woman is hidden, and the work she does produces beautiful results. In celebrating this wonderful occasion, we are also surely joined by the thousands of readers who can attest to the work of your hands.
Mr. Simcha Elishaev, thank you for directing your energies towards this community because you fill our lives with much happiness and light. We wish you and your family many more years together in health, happiness and well-being. Happy 51st Birthday!
