On the afternoon of Monday, June 13, the Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center held a Celebration of Song featuring noted cantor Sol Zim. Together with the noted singer, dubbed, “America’s Superstar of Jewish Music,” was his son Craig, who is better known (together with his brother Eric) as “The Singing Lawyers.

The program, which included a keyboard player, trumpet, and full drums, attracted a large array of residents and was a real smashing success. In attendance were Assembly Member David Weprin and Rabbi Mayer Waxman, QJCC Executive Director.

Much thanks is extended to the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the New York City Council and Council Member James Gennaro, as well as the generosity of the Queens Jewish Community Council.

Linda Spiegel, Margaret Tietz’s Director of Public Affairs, is always on hand to address resident concerns. She can be reached at 718-298-7838 or at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
