Shalom Bayit is a cornerstone in any marriage. Elul is a time to enhance and work on aspects in one’s life where we can use a boost. Our interpersonal relationships, especially those with our spouses can always use a fresh look to keep the energy and thrill alit.

The Chazaq Organization held a wonderful couples night out this past Tuesday, August 17, at Simcha Palace in Kew Gardens Hills. Designed as a marriage enrichment program the evening dubbed, Table For Two: Creating A New Start was the brainchild of Rabbi Refael Ribacoff, Esq. and his wonderful wife Adina, LCSW. The festive and welcoming setting allowed couples to interact more freely amongst themselves and share quality moments ahead of the New Year. The beauty of the event was seeing couples at various stages of their lives and all God-fearing and steadfast in the ways of Hashem. Some were teachers, others were homemakers, and yet others were local rabbonim, and everyday laymen and women all striving to bring home an honest day’s pay for their families to succeed and prosper. The schedule included a lavish dinner shared by the couple who each sat on private tables, and a lively upbeat DJ performance by DJ Avraham Productions of Kosher Events. Guests were treated to an array of top Sefardic and Ashkenazic favorites including many Israeli and Bukharian traditional songs.

The highlight of the evening were the powerful words of encouragement shared by renowned speaker Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser, as well as Rabbi Ribacoff, and Rabbi Yaniv Meirov.
