Assembly Member Daniel Rosenthal endorsed entrepreneur Andrew Yang for Mayor of New York City, calling him a “creative problem solver who thinks outside the box.”  Rosenthal calling Yang “inquisitive” noted that Yang knows what it is like to raise a family in New York City. “He is committed to ensuring that affordability is a linchpin of his administration.” Rosenthal also noted the rise in hate crimes as being personal for them both. “There is no room for intolerance in this city. More than half of all hate crimes were targeted towards the Jewish community and in this past year alone there was a 900% increase in hate crimes towards Asian Americans; let that sink in,” said Rosenthal. “Andrew is dedicated to protecting this community and every community that is targeted by hate.” Yang praised Rosenthal’s efforts in the district, “Dan is a leader for the people and he and I connected and bonded on what we can do to improve the way of life for the people he represents, but also the people all over the city.” Adding, “He has not just the spirit of service, but also the vision of the future and independence of judgement.” Yang then took a stroll down Main Street beginning at Freedom Square park and meeting store proprietors and local passersby along the streets.
