On Sunday May 5th, the Alliance of Bukharian Americans (ABA) Health Committee hosted its second annual blood drive and marrow registry at the Bukharian Congregation of Jamaica Estates. 12 people registered with Gift of Life Marrow Registry and 46 people came to donate blood. 32 of the potential blood donors contributed. Assuming each blood donor gave a pint of blood, potentially 100 people will benefit from the blood drive alone.

The event was from 11 AM to 4 PM, and included breakfast and lunch. Each participant received a gift and entered a raffle for prizes. The event was made possible with the partnership of the ABA, the Chazaq Organization, Maimonides Medical Center, Gift of Life, and the Bukharian Jewish Community Center of Jamaica Estates.
