Since our last issue, we’ve received plenty of feedback from our readers, a few articles and a ton of Mazal Tovs.

In this issue, we interview Chief Bukharian Rabbi Harav Yitzchak Yisraeli. The last time we were able to get a few minutes of his time for an interview was almost one year ago. When we spoke with R’Yisraeli last time we focused primarily on his background and some of the projects the community had in store. This time, we primarily discussed the communities growth and happenings which includes a recently updated Eruv and the almost complete state-of-the-ark Mikvah in Beth Gavriel. The full interview can be found on pages 14-15.

Speaking of the Beth Gavriel Mikvah, on July 31st the community united together to raise over $400,000 for the new Queens Community Mikvah at Beth Gavriel. Donors were pouring in from from literally all around the world: all 50 states, Canada, Israel, Europe, South Africa, South America and so on. It was truly inspiring to see how we all came together and the 30 hour Charidy campaign turned out to be a huge success. We discuss that day in depth on page 16.

We also received an email from a community member this week showing us how plenty of young guys are continuing to learn Torah even though they are currently in Bein Hazmanim [intersession]. A group of approximately 20-30 guys gather up every morning at Yeshiva Ohr HaChaim in Main Street and simply continue their learning. More on this with pictures can be found on page 20.

As you’ll see on page 24-25, we have 17 Mazal Tovs to share in this issue and there were plenty more happening around the Bukharian community. Send in all the Mazal Tovs you attend to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or direst message us on Instagram @BukharianJewishLink.
