Wow! So much going on in our community! It seems like as every edition of the BJL comes out there are more community news and developments in our community.

In this weeks edition you will read about the great progress the Chief Bukharian Rabbinate of USA and Canada is making.  Our Bukharian Chief Rabbi Rav Yitzchak Yisraeli is taking our community to the next level and this week he joined Rav Ovadia Yosef’s son to dedicate the opening of the new Bukharian
Center of Canada.

In this issue, you will also get a glimpse of how our  businessmen and leaders of the community are representing us via the Alliance of Bukharian Americans, also known as the ABA.

Baruch HaShem there are so many Smachot (Happy Occasions) going on in the community, you will see 8 pictures in our Mazal Tov section while there are dozens of more we haven’t received photos of. We encourage everyone to email us Mazal Tovs so we can let the world know! Email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Last but not least we wanted to send our warmest condolences to the Koptiev family on the loss of their mother and grandmother. The Koptiev family are pillars of the Bukharian community and together with the Alishaev family, they are the founders of the most active Bukharian synagogue in the world, the Beth Gavriel Bukharian congregation.

Enjoy the paper and don’t forget to send us your thoughts, comments and of course constructive criticism.

Till next time...
